What changes between BTO and resale flats?
BTOs are fast and consistent — uniform dimensions and new frames make installation predictable. Older resale flats have drifted dimensions and worn frames, so on-site measurement is always required before quoting, and secure fixing points must be worked out on site. Old pivot casements in 1980s–90s flats take the longest of any window type we install.
In our own service data, about 60% of the HDB flats we screen are BTOs and about 40% are resale.
